1796. War with revolutionary France has turned the Caribbean into a brutal battlefield. On the island of Grenada, inspired by the uprising in St. Domingue, a young leader named Julien Fedon launches a violent rebellion against British rule.

With nearly the entire island under rebel control and no reinforcements available, British hopes are fading. In a last-ditch effort, Commander Evan Ross and Lieutenant James Wilton are sent on a covert mission to infiltrate the rebels and uncover their plans.

But when Lieutenant Wilton falls for Fedon's mistress – a beautiful and cunning mixed-race woman who serves as a spy – his loyalties begin to blur. As suspicion mounts and danger closes in, Ross must act before a final, bloody confrontation seals the fate of Grenada.
