Glenn Dyer

Writing The Torch Betrayal, the first in a series of novels that feature OSS Agent Conor Thorn, allowed Glenn Dyer to immerse himself in the cataclysmic, world-shaping event that was World War II — a subject that has fascinated him since his youth.

Over the years, Dyer’s research of World War II has taken him to hotbeds of wartime activity such as Paris, Lyon, Lisbon, London, Normandy, Munich, and Rome. When he is researching, Dyer is looking for little known mysteries that sprouted events that occurred in the European Theatre. Mysteries that seemed to have no final outcomes, thereby inspiring a writer like Dyer to offer up fictional conclusions that he hopes are compelling and entertaining.

Dyer’s professional career has been spent in the commercial broadcasting business, primarily with Fox Television Stations, Inc. serving as the vice president and general manager of four of their TV stations. While in Washington, DC, among his numerous responsibilities, he wrote editorials for countless newscasts, but his primary passion has always been writing fiction.

The most recent novel in the Conor Thorn Series, Trust No One, was an Award Finalist for Historical Fiction from the Military Writers Society of America, was short listed in the 2023 Hemingway Award for 20th Century Wartime Fiction and was a finalist in the 2023 Global Thriller Awards for High Stakes Suspense Fiction.

After thirty-seven years in the broadcasting industry, Dyer and his wife Chris moved back to Park City, Utah where he has been writing full time. They have three children, Thomas, Michael and Riley, and three beautiful grandchildren. All of whom live too far away.

Dyer is an active member of the International Thriller Writers, and The OSS Society. He attended Villanova University and graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting & Film. He looks back fondly on his years growing up in the great state of New Jersey.
